Well after just 2 weeks of relative silence (but still illegal activity) from Apartment A, the girlfriend is back in residence. It appears that after the last altercation between the 2 where Guelph Police were yet again involved she is back. It is logical to assume that she was incarcerated during these last few weeks. It will be interesting to see how long it takes before there is another domestic situation at this address.
Yesterday there was a red Chev 4 door vehicle that attended Apartment A. When the occupant went back to his vehicle, he could be seen with a small baggie of what is assumed to be meth and cash. Sad to see small kids toys in the back seat.

Monday August 21, 2017 Guelph Police attend to 58 Derry St. Apartment A
Monday August 21, 2017
Guelph Police responded to 58 Derry St. Apartment A due to a call regarding suspicious males in a black VW Jetta with dark tinted windows that were breaking into apartment A. The 2 males were seen trying to pry the window open as well as picking the lock of the door to apartment A. The 2 males succeeded in gaining entry into the apartment. They left shortly before Guelph Police arrived.
It was learned that the 2 males had permission to "break in" as the tenant was asleep and he was ok with them coming in. Guelph Police left the premises and reported that the male tenant was now asleep "from doing meth all night". Guelph police encouraged residents to keep calling about any suspicious activity at this address.
On Wednesday August 9th, the tenant of apartment A was outside screaming on the driveway that his apartment had been broken into and his TV and things had been stolen. When Guelph Police arrived, he informed them that he knew who had stolen his things and that they were his friends driving a black car. Guelph Police left the scene shortly afterwards.

Apartment A Illegal Activity
There are are 3 units at this house and 2 of the tenants are great but there is a 3rd tenant living at Apartment A. This apartment is on the side of the house located up the metal staircase. If you are living in the neighborhood you have likely heard and have seen, the police are frequently at this apartment due to the domestic situations with yelling and screaming at all hours. What you may not know is that while that situation has now resolved itself (she is no longer there) the issues are far worse now. The person living there is possibly operating a stolen bicycle chop shop. You may not be able to see but several times a day, the resident and his accomplishes will bring several bikes up to and inside the apartment to get disassembled for parts and then presumably sold for drugs. You will also see many young males coming to presumably buy drugs from apartment A.
Last week on August 9th, 2017 this apartment was broken into and robbed. The apartment resident complained it was his friends that robbed him.

Guelph Police have been called many many times about the illegal activity at this apartment but nothing seems to be done about it.
Screaming and yelling is one thing but now this is a whole other ballgame and it is starting to erode the neighborhood.
Last week it was this apartment that was robbed but it is likely that soon other homes in the neighborhood be a target.
