A shoplifting investigation from Oct. 3, 2016 at a Clair Road grocery store resulted in two suspects being identified and sought by police.
On Nov. 8, 2016 members of the Guelph Police High Enforcement Action Team (HEAT) located the wanted parties on Carden Street and they were arrested. A search then discovered identity documents that had been reported from theft from car incidents in October.
A subsequent search warrant at a south end home was then executed and more identity documents and property believed to be stolen was seized.
Update:
Continued investigation related to the seized property has led to further charges being added to both.
Tyler Riediger, 22 years old of Guelph, has been charged with theft under $5,000, twelve counts of possession of stolen property, eight counts of possession of identity documents, unauthorized use of credit cards and six counts of breach of probation. He will appear in court on Nov. 18, 2016.
Sarah Taylor, 24 years old of Guelph, has been charged with theft under $5,000, twelve counts of possession of stolen property, eight counts of possession of identity documents and unauthorized use of credit cards. She will appear in court on Nov. 25, 2016.

MALES ARRESTED FOR CONSTRUCTION TRAILER BREAK-IN

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) Early Sunday morning July 19, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Listowel were dispatched to a Krotz St West address, where a construction trailer had been broken into.
Investigation revealed that the break-in had occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on July 19th and that a generator and tools were stolen from inside the trailer.
From information gathered and evidence observed at the scene, it was determined that the stolen property was located at a neighbouring residence.
Officers obtained judicial authority and with a search warrant entered the neighbouring residence. The stolen property was located inside the residence. Three males were subsequently arrested for the break-in.
21-year-old Dustin James LUNZ of Palmerston has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Break, enter a place commit indictable offence and Fail to comply with probation order X2.
He attended Bail Court in Stratford on July 20, 2015, where he was remanded into custody until July 27, 2015, for a bail hearing.
21-year-old Tyler James Allan RIEDIGER of Palmerston has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Break, enter a place commit indictable offence and Fail to comply with probation order
He attended Bail Court in Stratford on July 20, 2015, where he was remanded into custody until July 24, 2015, for a bail hearing.
A 17 year old male has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Break, enter a place commit indictable offence, Theft under $5,000, and Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He has been released on a "Promise to Appear" and will be appearing in Listowel Youth Court on September 09, 2015, to answer to the charges.
The Perth County OPP would not have been able to solve this crime if not for the assistance of the public. Immediate calls advising police of suspicious activity, unusual noises (i.e. breaking glass, dogs barking, or strange voices) are vital in solving crimes in our neighbourhoods.
